The drop forged high carbon steel blade has a sap groove and also a cutting notch for use on thicker stems. The tension on the blade can be adjusted by users with the appropriate knowledge, and the two step locking catch allows the user to select either a wide or narrow cutting width.

The ergonomic handles are forged from lightweight aluminium and incorporate rubber shock absorbers for comfortable use
